The Problem
Strength Training
You have been training in the gym for a while. In fact, you might very well be acquainted with all the different equipment that can help train different parts of the body. However, sometimes, you just wish you could use one machine to train different body parts all at once.
What if we tell you there is such a piece of equipment? And not only is it effective, but it is also made from quality materials that ensure its longevity.
What if we tell you, as the icing on the cake, that it is also the cheapest in Singapore?
Why This Equipment?
Barbell lifting exercises are so effective, since they are multi-jointed exercises that require the use of different muscle groups. It also greatly stimulates the central nervous system.
If you are using the barbell for the first time, you can the exercise right at the end of your workout. This allows you some time to get used to how it all feels. Once you are comfortable, you might then place your barbell workout right at the front of the session.
Suggested exercises range from squads and deadlifts, which focus more on the lower body, to bench press and barbell row that focus more on the upper body.
Tip: When training with these heavy weights, it might be a good idea to use a mat to protect your floor!
Features
What This Equipment Can Do For You
Prevents Rusting
Steel, which most barbells are made from, can rust pretty easily. MFC Barbells however, are equipped with Zinc, Chrome, or Stainless Steel finishes that provides significantly longer lifespan.
Firm Grip
Aggressive knurling on our barbells help you get a firmer grip. This greatly reduces the chances of grip failure. The notable centre knurling also helps with back grip when doing squats.
Strong. and Durable
With more than 180,000 PSI (pounds per square inch) of tensile strength, our bars have a higher breaking point tha others. Add to that great yield strenght, and you’ll have a bar bell that is built to last.
Longevity
All our bars come with brass bushings that are placed between the shaft and the sleeve. This guarantees longevity on your barbells. You can also choose to upgrade bushings into bearings, used by Olympic lifters.
How It works
4 Different Bar Types
Step 1:
Standard Bar
Out of all the different bars, this is the most common. After all, this is the standard bar. It is probably what you have been using during your gym workouts.
It is around 2.5cm in diameter, and 220cm in length. This allows you to easily pile on weight on either side of the bar.
Step 2:
Powerlifting Bars
As the name suggests, these bars are used mainly for powerlifting. Since weight is the most important factor here, these bars are generally less flexible and more rigid. This allows the bar to remain firm, even when loaded with plentiful weight.
Most lifters opt for a powerlifting bar if they train with weights more than 150kg. They come at a slightly higher cost too, since the steel has to be more robust to support the additional weight.
Step 3:
Deadlift Bar
This bar allows for more whip since deadlifting involves lifting the weight off the floor in a quick and efficient manner.
Just like the powerlifting bar, it has a modified knurl that allows for better grip control.
Step 4:
Olympic Weightlifting Bar
As the name suggests, this bar is used for Olympic lifting competitions, of which there are two main kinds The “clean and jerk”, as well as the “snatch”.
The grip on this bar is much wider than the normal bar, whilst also having more whip. This drastically improves the grip as well as the safety of the lifter. The knurling is also softer on the hands.
With such standards enforced, these are probably the highest quality barbells available. Now you can see why these are Olympic standards.

I’ve always gone to the gym, but this COVID situation has thrown my rhythm off. I needed to continue training and had no choice but to source for a bar bell online. Came across MFC, and was attracted by their pricing. Bought a set online and it was way better than I thought. It just felt right from the start, and the grip felt really good. Very lucky to have chanced upon them.
Was shopping online but didn’t know which product to go for. MFC had an in depth guide, which I thought I would use to help me on my purchases on other sites. I checked out their collection for fun, not expecting much. The prices were so low! I was so surprised and ended up buying more than a few pieces of equipment from them. Cheers MFC!
