IPPT TRAINING
Is your yearly IPPT approaching? Are you having doubts about whether you’ll pass it? Or perhaps you are currently stuck at the silver standard and need a bit of push to get to the gold?
Whatever the case is, we’re here to help! The IPPT standards have changed over the years, and our training program has been updated to keep up with the newest developments. Previously, there were stations like standing broad jump, inclined sit-ups, and chin-ups which you have to train for. The newest update however, means that you only have to focus on three stations. Running, push-ups, and sit-ups.
At MyFitnessComrade, we care a lot about personalised training. This means that the training you receive will be very different, depending on if your goal is to pass, get bronze, silver, or gold. It will also be modified and benchmarked against your current fitness level, so that the training will be of just the appropriate challenge level for you

Testimonials
“Have been a few years removed from physical activities, so didn’t realised how unfit I was until I sat for the IPPT and failed. Decided I really needed to focus on this, cause I didn’t want to go for RT and MFC has helped me a lot in this regard.”
“Was at goal standards when I was in the. army, but now I barely can pass. But I didn’t have much time to. train by myself as I was super busy with schoolwork. MFC helped arrange a trainer for me and he was a real pleasure to work with.”
“Contacted MFC and they immediately helped arrange a trainer for me in just 24 hours. I’m not working with Joel and he’s amazing. Really encouraging and professional, and he really plans a lot for our workouts together. I can already see the results in just a few weeks.”
Push-Ups
When practising, you might have put too much focus on the quantity and not the quality. It’s only when you go for the actual test that you realise that the quality counts for a lot. Many of your push-ups may not have been recorded by the machine due to improper form. At MFC, we make sure every push up is done correctly. Once you get the fundamentals down, increasing the repetitions will not be a problem. In fact, you will progress at an even faster rate .
These are some of the things you should look out for.
Start Motion
- Feet together, hands slightly wider than shoulder width
Actual Push-up
- Head and hips aligned with spine
- Body forms a straight line from the crown of your head to your heels
- Brace core and lock body into position.
- Elbows tuck to body. 45 degrees to torso
- Chest inches from ground
End Motion
- Shoulders and torso shouldn’t twist
- Weight of upper body evenly distributed between two hands

Sit-Ups
Once again, when training for sit-ups, too many of us might be placing emphasis on the wrong areas. Instead of the quality, too many of us focus on the quantity and speed of the sit-ups. Whilst doing this, we disregard our form and technique. Yet, perhaps the fastest ways to improve your sit-ups is by slowing down.
Making sure you use the right muscles for each push-ups ensure that you are strengthening the right areas. When you use the momentum instead of your muscles, you restrict your potential to do more. This is one of the main reasons why the number of sit-ups you can do start plateauing. You are simply not allowing your muscles to develop and strengthen.
At MyFitnessComrade, we focus on training your core muscle groups. That’s the surest way to improving the number of sit-ups you can do per minute.

2.4KM Run
Everybody is able to run at some capacity. Yet, some of us are able to run faster, and at a longer distance, than the rest. Why is this so?
Surely, training does play a huge part. But when we talk about training, most of us simply think of it as running laps after laps after laps. There is more to this, however. In fact, at MyFitnessComrade, we believe that the simplest correction to your form and technique, when applied to running over such a long distance, is going to have a huge impact on cutting down your time.
For example, we focus on tips like widening your steps, making sure you have the correct breathing techniques, that you are are running upright and making correct use of your upper body for momentum, amongst many others.

How we help
Our trainers as dedicated as you are to achieving your goals. Different plans and routines have been designed to cater to your individual needs. The training for someone on silver trying to reach for gold, is different from someone who is trying to pass the IPPT.

Proper Training
For majority of us, IPPT is spoken with some measure of fear. After all, our physical prime has been several years past us, and now we struggle just to complete the run, or to do the stated number of push-ups and sit-ups.
Yet, it doesn’t have to be like that. With some fun and proper training, you too, can pass IPPT with ease. Some of you might even look to strive for gold.
Understanding Requirements
We have come a long way from the good old days, where IPPT consisted of five different stations. This means there are less things to distract us, and giving us more time to focus on the areas that we are tested on.
With the training programmes we have at MFC, we guarantee that you’ll be able to increase your proficiency in push-ups, sit-ups, and running in no time.
Recovery Training
Recovery is every bit as important as the physical training is. After each of our sessions, our trainers will personally suggest a recovery routine for you. This allows the muscles you have just worked on to get better and more developed.
You can feel the difference yourself. You’ll find yourself feeling stronger with each subsequent session with us.

Our Promise
IPPT is something we all struggle with, especially once we start getting busy with the demands of life. Whether we are juggling the responsibilities of school, of work, or of being a husband and father, we are often pressed for time. At MyFitnessComrade, we are aware of this and have crafted our routines to be the most efficient and least time-intensive ones. Witness results in the shortest time frames.
You can trust us. We are here to help you prepare for IPPT.
